I worked at Sperry Corp., Unisys, and Lockheed Martin (all the same company!) for 35 years in Eagan, MN. I was a software engineer and then a software manager working on systems primarily for the US Navy. These systems included Command and Control and weapon systems for destroyers, frigates, carriers, and submarines, including the first digital systems for the Los Angeles (SSN-688) class of ships. I started two engineering offices, one in Montreal Canada, and the other in Camarillo, CA during my career and enjoyed my onsite assignments tremendously.

After I retired, I cared for my mother for 7 years in Mason City until she passed away in 2007. I retired to southern CA, where I had lived for 4 years in the early nineties, in 2008.

My son is married to a Danish woman and they live in southern Denmark where he does research and development for a large dairy consortium. I visit Denmark twice a year and various places in the Southwest. I am a voracious reader and enjoy gardening, crafts, geneology, and games on my PC.

Judy had asked me to post on MCHS web site to let all classmates know she is OK, but I see that Janet Long did a great job already. The text message that I received from Judy was essentially the same info as Janet posted, so I won't add anything further except that I am relieved that all of our classmates are safae.

Thank you all for the birthday greetings. Especially Johanna who reminded me that I had now made 80 revolutions around the sun --- I had never quite thought of a birthday in that perspective. I had a lovely dinner at my niece's home (my sister Marsha's daughter) and all of her family.

My apologies to all of the people who have posted birthday wishes to me over the past 5 or 6 or 7 years! I hadn't looked at the web site in a long time, so will try to do better in the future. I recently moved to Frisco, TX, just north of Dallas to be closer to my sister Marsha's family. It's been interesting but oh how I miss the southern CA weather. However, I have great neighbors and plenty of remodeling and updating jobs at my new home to keep me busy.
