Junior High and High School Principal 8 years.
Superintendent of Schools 20 years (two years at Bennett, IA and then 18 years at Maple Valley Comm. Schools in Mapleton, IA).

Retired in 1998.

I married Linda Stevens in 1964 and we had two sons: Chris (now a high school guidance counselor and coach in Panora, IA with a Specialist Degree in Education) & Steve (now Superintendent of Schools in Le Mars,IA with a Doctorate Degree in educational administration).
Eight years after we married, and two-and-a-half weeks after the birth of our second son, Linda passed away.
A little over a year later in 1973, I married another wonderful woman, Marilyn Dalziel (an elementary teacher) who became the mother to my two sons as well as her own Bob (President of a plastics company in Omaha) and Kathy (former nurse and then a teacher associate in Columbus, NE; now retired). I am very grateful for all the happy and fulfilling years we have shared together with our combined family. Marilyn passed away April 11,2023.
I have now been blessed once again and on Nov. 29, 2025 married Cheryl Little (a former elementary teacher and pastor).
